Year 7
See the pdf file called ‘power in the middle ages pack 2’
We have now reached the last week of the year. The work that I have set below is to be competed over the summer holidays. The work is essential to your learning and is not a 'add on.' You must complete the work below, as when we come back in September, we will begin studying the Tudors. You cannot start the Tudors without knowing anything about the topics below, especially the Wars of the Roses and what happened to the princes in the tower.
Complete the following chapters:
9.5. Joan of Arc - the teenage girl who led an army, pp. 152-153.
9.6. Choose your weapons, pp. 154-155.
9.7. What were the Wars of the Roses? pp. 156-159.
9.8. History Mystery - The Princes in the Tower, pp. 160-163.
As always, you must complete the following for each chapter:
Read the relevant pages very carefully and take notes or produce a spider diagram.
SA: What have you found out that you did not know already? Why is this important to know?
Complete all tasks in each chapter, including work, practice questions and research tasks.
SA: What is the most important thing you have discovered and why is this important to know?
It would be sensible for you to download the learning pack onto your own PC/laptop/tablet/smartphone/portable drive/usb stick. This is because I think MS Teams will be closed by the school at the end of term. You should also copy and paste these instructions onto a word document so that you know what to do over the summer. Complete all of your work on a word document. You can bring the work with you to your first history lesson in year 8.

Seva School and MyON Renaissance are working together in order to enable you to participate in an exciting initiative, to promote reading over the summer. Students do not have access to libraries as a result of the lockdown and this initiative should encourage your child to read books online.
Reading a book for at least 30 minutes a day is a vital literacy practice for your child and will enable them to develop vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension skills.
