Safeguarding
Safeguarding at SEVA School
The SEVA Trust gives the highest priority to safeguarding children by:
- Having Safeguarding, Child Protection and e-Safety policies for staff and trustees. The policies are made available in hard copy for parents via the School Office
- Appointing School Trustee, Dr Amarjit Johal, to liaise between the governing body and the headteacher on safeguarding policy and practice
- Displaying the photographs and names of the DSLs clearly in the School for the attention of staff, volunteers and pupils
- Ensuring staff wear photographic identification at all times
- Ensuring visitors, agency staff and contractors provide photographic identification or their original DBS form before entry is granted into School
- Ensuring visitors read the Safeguarding & Health & Safety leaflets upon entry to the school and sign to confirm that they have read it
- Holding external independent reviews of the safeguarding policy and practice within the School
- Raising the awareness and skills of staff and volunteers through the provision of information and training
- Raising the awareness of students through assemblies, displays, the curriculum and personal, social, health and emotional learning (PSHE)
- Using Safer Recruitment best practice when recruiting staff
If you have any concerns about the well-being of your child at school then please send an email to pupil.support@seva.coventry.sch.uk where we will get back to you within 24hrs (Mon-Fri)
